Mandatory Online Registration

The club has moved to Mandatory Online Registration. Preregister for each event via Motorsportreg.com. To complete registration, you will be required to enter a credit card number or an alternate form of payment. If you do not preregister, there will be a $5 surcharge to register on site. If you’re worried about prepaying online and not making the event, don't be. Your account will not be charged until after the event has been completed.  If you don't show, there is no charge. This is part of an ongoing effort to expedite check-in and registration.

So what is this Autocross business anyway?

You can get the official dictionary definition here on the Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) website. Who knows why but the SCCA calls Autocross, "Solo". A more relatable way to describe Autocross is as a roller coaster you get to control. It is an adrenaline rush behind the wheel of just about any car you own!

At the Wiregreass region we setup a course with traffic cones first thing event day, drivers register at the control tent, walk the course to learn where to go and then prepare their cars for competition.

Midweek update... We have the key! So unless something very out of the ordinary happens the event this Sunday is a go. Remember if there is ever a reason for us to cancel the event check here and check your email. We only use mass email messaging for emergencies so you don't have to junk folder us. Hello Wiregrass racers!

We are giving Autocross #1 of 2017 another go. It is going to be this Sunday the 15th. Register for the event on MSR. If you registered for the first attempt at Autocross #1 you will still be registered. Just logon to MSR and double check your info. If you registered

Thanks for kicking off the year with a great event. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day. This is the winter we're more accustomed to. Thanks to the Gulf Coast family for all of their help in running the event. Matt and the amazing lotus took FTD and PAX. Everyone seemed to agree this was a simple but difficult course. It was tough to put all the pieces together to make a killer run. It was fun nonetheless. 

The results have been posted on the right. We'll have our monthly meeting online in the next two weeks. Check back on our website and Facebook page for more info. Thanks again.
