Beyond Seat Time

While practice is always better, there is nothing wrong with reading up on the subject. One of our very own autocrossers, Vivek, not only can wrangle a car with the best of them but he also writes. He has written some good articles on the how and why of fine cone crushing. Everyone should take a peek and check it out. http://www.beyondseattime.com/ It’s a good all-around read concerning how to drive an event.

Price changes!
- Written by Rodney McCloud
Due to a price increase of $5 from SCCA headquarters, we'll be increasing our military and non-member event pricing to $35 and $40 respectively. The increase was due to an insurance hike for weekend members. The member price will remain at $25 per event.
There is a bright side as this increase makes becoming a member that much more appealing. Active military folks get a $35 rebate on your membership and those deployed to hazardous conditions get their membership waived completely. Those under 24 years old can qualify for a First Gear membership at $60. This can be coupled with additional discounts from your copy of two weekend memberships and current member referral for $45 off. At the new $40 a month weekend membership rate, it would only take 3 months to break even on the full membership cost of $80.
Mandatory Online Registration

Mandatory Online Registration
The club has moved to Mandatory Online Registration. Preregister for each event via Motorsportreg.com. To complete registration, you will be required to enter a credit card number or an alternate form of payment. If you do not preregister, there will be a $5 surcharge to register on site. If you’re worried about prepaying online and not making the event, don't be. Your account will not be charged until after the event has been completed. If you don't show, there is no charge. This is part of an ongoing effort to expedite check-in and registration.
March Autocross Recap

Thanks to the folks that braved the morning rain and cold weather to run another unique event. We ran 5 runs in the morning and the afternoon was a test and tune. Everyone rolled with the punches and it was a really neat event.
FTD was taken by the Jesse and Mark took PAX. A number of people were trying to dial their cars in for the Dixie Tour next weekend. I wish them all the best of luck and I hope everyone has a wonderful time.
Don't forget about the price change for non-members. We will be sharing some information regarding passengers and spectators on site. Join us online for our monthly meeting later this month. Thanks again.
